08/08/2021 - Jr. Legion Goes 1-2 at State Meet

Proctor won one game and lost two at the Division II Junior American Legion State Tournament in Montevideo, August 6-7.

Caledonia scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, three in the fifth, and one in the sixth to beat Proctor, 6-0, in the quarterfinals on August 6. Proctor managed two hits, singles by Tanner Ross and Kennan Reyelts. Nick Terhaar took the loss. He allowed three runs on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in four innings.

Proctor rebounded to defeat Montevideo, 7-0, in a five-inning consolation semifinals game on August 7. Reyelts and Wyatt Mineheine combined on a no-hitter. Reyelts tossed four innings and allowed one walk with one strikeout. Mineheine had one strikeout in one inning. Carson Pavlowich and Josh Monreal had two hits apeice, and Monreal and Nolan Okstad hit doubles in the 10-hit attack. Pavlowich, Monreal, Terhaar, Blake Imhoff, and Ethan Carter each contributed an RBI.

Howard Lake scored three runs in the top of the first inning of the consolation championship game, also played on August 7 and also shortened to five innings, but Proctor answered with two in the bottom of the frame. The score remained 3-2 until Howard Lake plated two in the fifth to win, 5-2. Monreal, the losing pitcher, allowed four earned runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in four innings. Proctor had six hits, all singles, all by different batters. Monreal had the team's lone RBI.

Proctor finished the season with a 15-6 record.
