AITKIN, Minn. -- Proctor defeated Aitkin, 12-7, in a non-conference baseball game on Thurs., May 22, at Woock Field in Aitkin. The Rails snapped the Gobblers' 13-game winning streak. Brandt Forstrom (1-2 W-L, 3.43 ERA) earned the win in relief of starter Matt Morris. Forstrom allowed two runs (one earned) in five innings pitched on six hits, three walks, and a hit batsman. He had four strikeouts.

Joe Carter was 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs to lead Proctor. Jake Malec, Dylan Pionk, and Morris each had two hits. Morris also had two RBIs. Jimmy Merrill hit a three-run home run for the Rails.

Aitkin's Nathan Ehnstrom and Drew Nordean had three hits apice. Logan Quade and Dan Bender had two hits. Bender, Nordean, and Jake Lynn all had two RBIs.

Bryan Haugly was the losing pitcher. He allowed six earned runs on five hits and five walks with four strikeouts in two innings. Lynn had nine strikeouts in five innings of relief, but also allowed four earned runs on five hits and seven walks.
