Makitalo hurls Rails' victory

Steve Makitalo won his second game of the season as Proctor stopped Cathedral in a Lake Superior Conference game at Wade Stadium.

Todd Johnson singled in one run in the first inning and drove in another in the fourth with a triple. Chris Frank then singled Johnson home.

Kevin Starren's single and Marty Running's triple accounted for two more Proctor runs in the seventh.

Makitalo struck out seven and allowed seven hits.

Cathedral's Brian Homstad threw a six-hitter and took the loss.
