Proctor tops East; Bemidji, Superior go 10-0

Bill Bergstrom hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to power Proctor to a 6-2 Lake Superior Conference victory over Duluth East Thursday at Ordean Field.

East, 3-8, led 1-0 after two innings on a run-scoring single by Jason Watt. Proctor, 7-3, tied it in the third on Mike Robertson's run-scoring double. Proctor took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on a run-scoring single by Jeff Viner.

Rick LaLonde pitched the distance for the Rails.
