Chris Kindgren, Scott Jezierski, and Rick LaLonde combined for a three-hitter and 12 strikeouts as the host Rails won the Lake Superior Conference game.

Jezierski got the victory as the Rails raised their regular-season record to 12-4.

Craig Peterson and Mark Slattengren each had a single, drove in a run and scored two runs for Proctor. Dan Simonson had all three hits, singles, for East, 5-10.

Both teams open subregional play Tuesday, with Proctor hosting Chisago Lakes at 4:30 p.m. and East hosting either Hibbing or Virginia at Ordean.
