Northland Tournament

Virginia defeated Hibbing 9-1 in the championship game of the Northland Tournament in Cloquet.

In semifinal action, Ryan Beckers had two hits and three RBIs as Hibbing defeated Brainerd 7-3. Virginia downed St. Francis 3-2.

In the consolation championship, Brian Peterson had a triple and two RBIs to lead Proctor past Cloquet 9-5.

Scott Larson hit a grand slam and a two-run double as Proctor defeated Duluth Denfeld 9-6 in consolation semifinal action. Brian Mrozik added a two-run home run for the Rails.
