Rails drop second in a row to hard-hitting Hinckley-Finlayson

For the second game in a row, the Proctor Rails found themselves behind the eight ball early in the game and forced to claw their way back into the game only to lose in the end.

The Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars (3-0) used solid hitting and a three-run double and two-run home run in the third inning to break open an otherwise great pitching matchup.

On the mound for the Rails, senior Jon Kent found himself struggling to locate all of his pitches and to take command of the strike zone. For the Jaguars, Kyle Flagstad was in command early and often while registering seven strikeouts and allowing the big hit or rally for the Rails.

Offensively for the Rails, senior Cory Donofrio produced a two-run single in the top of the fourth inning to pull the Rails within four runs but the Jaguars continued to pull away in a 10-run victory in six innings.
