DULUTH -- Proctor defeated Virginia in the second round of the Section 7AA baseball playoffs at Wade Stadium, and earned an entry into the double-elimination Final Four tournament for the second time in four years. Jake Lewis picked up his sixth win of the season as he allowed four unearned runs on 10 hits and no walks in seven innings. He had six strikeouts. Lewis joined teammate Alex Oachs as the first Rails pitchers to record six wins in a season since Steve Makitalo in 1984.
 
Justin Scanlon was two-for-four with a run and three RBIs, and Jesse Scanlon and Ryan McCarthy contributed two hits and one RBI each.
 
Cloquet defeated International Falls 5-1 in the middle game of the day, so the Rails faced the Lumberjacks in the evening game at Wade Stadium in the first round of the Final Four tournament.
