AITKIN -- Ryan McCarthy hit two home runs, including his third grand slam of the season, and had eight RBIs as Proctor defeated Aitkin in a non-conference baseball game at Aitkin. The game was shortened to five innings due to the 10-run rule.
 
The Rails pounded out 19 hits.
 
Evan Scherber was four-for-four with a double and three RBIs. Cody Dolsen was three-for-four with a double and four RBIs. Jesse Scanlon was three-for-four and scored five runs.
 
Ben Nelson (3-0, 1.81 ERA) pitched three innings for the win. He allowed one run on four hits and zero walks. He had three strikeouts.

Rails Notes:
Ryan McCarthy set a new PHS single-season RBI record. He now has 29 RBIs. The previous school record belonged to Jon Kent, who had 28 RBIs in 2007... Jimmy Merling had one stolen base, giving him 20 in his prep career. He is the sixth player in PHS history to record 20 or more career stolen bases.
