PROCTOR -- Hermantown overcame a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth inning and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth to defeat Proctor in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game at Proctor.
 
Winning pitcher Kevin Folman allowed one earned run on two hits, a walk, and a hit batsman in a complete game effort. Folman allowed just one base runner over the last five innings. He had four strikeouts.
 
Proctor jumped ahead with a run in the first inning when Ryan McCarthy hit a double scoring Jesse Scanlon from first base. Proctor added two runs in the second inning on a single by Paul Hegstrom, a walk, and an error.
 
Folman, Neal Pionk, and Matt Lord delivered consecutive singles in Hermantown's three-run fourth inning. In the sixth inning, Jared Thomas singled, advanced to third base on an error, and scored on a wild pitch.
 
Thomas was two-for-three with two runs scored.
 
Losing pitcher Jake Lewis (0-1, 0.00 ERA) did not allow an earned run in six innings of work. He threw a five-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks.
