Hardballers turn up the head as regular season nears end

...In other action the Rails turned in a crowd-pleasing effort at Egerdahl Field, as about 30 Proctor boosters watched the Rails baseball team upend the Lake Superior Conference-leading Duluth Denfeld Hunters.

During an earlier meeting between these two team the Denfeld crew ousted the Rails in a no-hitter. With that in mind Proctor headed into play with revenge firmly in mind. One onlooker remarked he hoped at least if Proctor could not pull out the win he hoped the green clads would at least make a good showing.

Well, a good showing is exactly what the Rails turned in, as they not only stayed close Proctor upset the Hunters by a 8-5 margin.

The Rails are under the leadership of first-year coach Tim Rohweder.
