SILVER BAY -- Neil Mellesmoen doubled home Scott Breden in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday as Silver Bay rallied to beat Proctor 2-1 in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game.

Proctor had taken a 1-0 lead on Greg Sornberger's RBI single in the top of the sixth inning. Silver Bay tied the game 1-all in the bottom of the inning on an RBI double by Jensen.

Mellesmoen, working in relief of Jeff Strand, was the winning pitcher. The two allowed six hits. Silver Bay is 6-1.

Proctor pitcher Duane Barber struck out 12 and gave up four hits. Pete Gagne had two hits for the Rails.
