Chisago Lakes tops Proctor

CLOQUET -- Chisago Lakes scored three runs in the sixth inning and held on to defeat Proctor 5-2 in a Region 7 sub-Region 2 baseball semifinal Wednesday.

Troy Marcio drove in Brad Eickman and scored on a base hit by Steve Bratruud to cap the Trojans' scoring.

Chris Frank scored on a double by Scott St. Germain in the fourth inning and drove in Tom Peterson in the seventh for the Rails' only runs.

Jeff Bergerson went the distance for the win.

Chisago Lakes plays Cloquet here at 5 p.m. Friday for the sub-Region 2 championship.
