Central rallies past Proctor

Mark Lucia hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh to rally Duluth Central to a 8-7 win over Proctor in a Lake Superior Conference high school baseball game Saturday in Proctor.

Central was the home team, but the site was moved because Wade Stadium is unavailable for play.

Lucia had three hits and Ryan McLain and Joe Moline had two each for the Trojans, 3-0. Bret Nyquist pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief to get the win.

Nathan Sandman and Ryan Payne had two hits each for the Rails.

Duluth Central nailed a two-run single in the seventh to rally past Proctor on Saturday.

Ryan Payne and Nathan Sandman each had two hits in the game.

Proctor was the visitor on its own field, since the game had to be moved from Wade Stadium because it was unavailable.
