Proctor nails Cathedral

CLOQUET -- Ray Miles pitched a one-hitter as Proctor shut out Cathedral 11-0 in a five-inning game here Tuesday night.

The Rails, 6-2, padded an early 3-0 lead with eight runs in the third inning. Dan Norton and Matt Downs each knocked in a pair of runs on infield hits with Jay Anderson and Miles adding run-scoring singles.

Norton led Proctor hitting, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Downs was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI, and Steve Ohme had two hits and scored twice.

Miles struck out nine batters and walked two for the win.
