MARBLE -- Mason Flick tossed a one-hit shutout as Proctor defeated Greenway, 13-0, on Thursday. The game lasted six innings due to the 10-run rule.

Proctor went ahead 1-0 on three hits in the top of the first. Lucas Nordquist scored on Blake Koski's RBI double but Zach Gunderson, running from first base, was out at the plate on the play for the third out.

The Rails scored four runs in the third. Nordquist, Bryce Huffman, and Gunderson all singled to start the inning. Nordquist scored on Gunderson's RBI. Ryan Lear connected for an RBI single with one out, plating Huffman. Gunderson scored on Jordan Linder's RBI groundout. Cole Johnson's RBI single sent in Lear for a 5-0 lead.

The three-run fourth inning started with walks to Ben Harnell and Nordquist. Harnell scored, after stealing both second and third, on Huffman's sacrifice fly. Later, Lear again got a hit with two outs, this time he drove in Nordquist--who also stole second and third--and Koski, who reached on a walk and stole second.

Harnell scored the lone run of the fifth. He drew a walk with two outs, advanced to second on Nordquist's single, and scored on Huffman's RBI single.

Greenway's Dan McNair singled to right field with one out in the bottom of the fifth to break up Flick's no-hit bid. Flick (3-0 W-L, 0.44 ERA) struck out six and did not issue any walks. He threw 63 pitches in six innings pitched.

Proctor's four-run sixth began with Koski getting hit by a pitch. He advanced to second on a passed ball before Lear walked. Koski was forced out at third for the first out when Jerid Parrott grounded into a fielder's choice. Cole Johnson's RBI single plated Lear from second base. Austin Parrott was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Jerid Parrott scored when Harnell hit into a RBI fielder's choice, forcing out pinch-runner Matt Johnson at second. Cole Johnson scored when Nordquist reached on a two-base error. Huffman walked to load the bases and Gunderson drew another walk which sent in Cole Johnson for the game's final run.

Losing pitcher Dan McNamara allowed five runs on eight hits, one walk, and one hit batsman with one strikeout in three innings pitched. Reliever Austin Storlie worked one inning and Hunter Skallet pitched the final two innings.

Harnell scored three runs and had two stolen bases. Nordquist batted 3-for-4 with three runs and three stolen bases. Huffman batted 2-for-three with a run and two RBI. Gunderson batted 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI. Koski was 1-for-2 with a double, a run, and an RBI. Lear batted 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI. Cole Johnson was 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI.

Proctor (7-1) is back in action at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4, at Two Harbors.
