The Rails had the 2018 State runner-ups on the ropes for most of the night, but saw Duluth Marshall score four runs in the fifth to earn a come from behind victory.

After Marshall scored one in the first, the Proctor offense scored two in the 4th to take the lead, on RBI singles by Ben Harnell and Cole Johnson.

Marshall, known for their offensive prowess, was shut down for most of the night, with their offense only coming to life in the fifth for a four-run frame.

The Rails battled back and scratched one more run across in the 7th. Cole Johnson doubled, and went to third on an error by Marshall's right fielder: a throw that sailed over the entire infield. Johnson scored on a grounder to short hit by Chris Preston.
