PROCTOR -- Grand Rapids defeated Proctor, 11-0, in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game here on Friday, April 30. The game was called after six innings due to the 10-run rule. It was the teams' first meeting since 2005.

Winning pitcher Andy Linden had a no-hitter through five innings before Tanner Olson led off the sixth with a single. It was the Rails' only hit. Linden went the distance with five walks and two strikeouts.

The Thunderhawks plated five runs in the top of the first inning on two hits, two walks, a hit batsman, a sacrifice fly, two stolen bases, a passed ball, and one error. Garrett Drotts delivered a two-run double in the frame.

Linden hit an RBI double in the third for a 6-0 lead.

Grand Rapids scored two runs in the fourth on a walk, a sacrifice fly, a stolen base, and two Proctor errors.

The Thunderhawks eclipsed the 10-run threshold with three runs in the sixth on four hits and two walks.

Linden and Drotts had two hits apiece for Grand Rapids. Drotts had three RBI while Linden and Kodi Miller had two each.

Kennan Reyelts (1-1, 2.55 ERA) took the loss. He allowed eight runs (four earned) on four hits, three walks, and three hit batsmen in four innings. He had two strikeouts.

Proctor (3-3) is next in action at Superior on Tuesday, May 4.
