PROCTOR -- Proctor defeated Crosby-Ironton, 6-4, in a non-conference baseball game here on Friday, May 7.

The Rangers scored two runs in the top of the first inning on a two-run double by Dietrich Winegarner. Proctor answered with one tally in the first, on a sacrifice fly by Tanner Olson.

C-I added a run in the second on an RBI single by Cam Durant. The Rails cut the lead to 3-2 in the second on an RBI groundout by AJ Reyelts.

Crosby-Ironton scored again in the third, on a double steal.

Proctor tied the score, 4-4, with two runs in the fourth. Conner Pavlowich scored on a double-steal play and AJ Reyelts scored when Wyatt Okstad reached on an error.

In the sixth, Josh Monreal scored the go-ahead run in the sixth on an RBI groundout by AJ Reyelts, and Conner Pavlowich added an insurance run on Okstad's sacrifice fly.

Tanner Ross (1-1, 3.32 ERA) notched his first varsity win. He tossed three shutout innings in relief of starter Kennan Reyelts. Ross allowed one hit and one hit batsman with zero walks and zero strikeouts.

Blake Imhoff and Conner Pavlowich had two hits apiece. Conner Pavlowich scored three runs.

Losing pitcher Carter Holtzleicer allowed six runs (three earned) on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts in six innings.

Proctor is now 5-4. The Rails are back in action on Saturday, May 8, as they host International Falls at 12 p.m.
