DULUTH -- Duluth Denfeld defeated Proctor, 5-1, in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game at beautiful Wade Stadium on Tuesday.

The Hunters' pitcher, Nylund, earned the complete game win. He allowed one run on five hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Denfeld scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead. Proctor answered with a run in the top of the second on a sacrifice fly by Nick Terhaar, but Denfeld padded its lead with single tallies in the second and third frames. The Hunters scored their final run in the sixth.

Denfeld was led by Harju, Hindermann, and Hennrickson with three hits apiece. Hindermann had two RBI.

Proctor's AJ Reyelts and Blake Imhoff had two hits each.

Terhaar (3-1, 1.24 ERA) took the loss. He allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and three walks with one strikeout in two innings. Grant Walker pitched effectively in relief; he allowed one run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in three and two-thirds innings.

Proctor, 8-3, is at Moose Lake-Willow River on Wednesday.
