DULUTH -- Kennan Reyelts delivered an RBI single with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to score Nolan McLeod for the tiebreaking run as Proctor defeated Aitkin, 4-3, in a Section 7AA Playoffs quarterfinals game at beautiful Wade Stadium on Tuesday.

Proctor took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when AJ Reyelts was hit by a pitch and scored from first base on an erroroneous pickoff throw on a steal attempt.

The Rails plated another run in the fourth when Blake Imhoff scored from first base on a double by Kennan Reyelts.

Aitkin scored three runs in the top of the fifth to take a 3-2 lead, but Proctor answered in its half of the frame when Tanner Olson hit a triple and scored on an RBI single by Sam Johnson.

Three consecutive walks to start the bottom of the eighth preceded Reyelts' hit, a sharp single past the pitcher into center field.

Olson (1-0, 0.88 ERA) got the win in relief of Kennan Reyelts. Olson worked two scoreless innings and allowed no hits, no walks, and one hit batsman with one strikeout. Reyelts started and allowed three runs (all unearned) on five hits, one walk, and one hit batsman with four strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings. Ryan Schubitzke relieved Reyelts with two outs and two runners on base in the sixth and induced a ground out to the one batter he faced.

Kennan Reyelts was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Proctor improved to 16-8 and advanced to face Esko in the semifinals, directly following the victory over Aitkin.
