CLOQUET -- Cloquet defeated Proctor, 11-9, in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game here on Thursday.

The Lumberjacks rallied for seven runs in the fifth inning to erase Proctor's 7-4 lead.

Proctor scored five runs in the top of the first inning on three hits and four walks. Ian Gilles hit a three-run double to cap the inning's scoring.

Cloquet answered with three tallies in the bottom of the first on two hits, a hit batsman, and one Proctor error.

Proctor notched a run in the third on Ethan Carter's sacrifice fly but Cloquet also scored one run in the frame.

Carter's RBI fielder's choice gave the Rails a 7-4 edge in the fifth before Cloquet's comeback.

AJ Reyelts had three hits, a run, and two RBI. Gilles had two hits and four RBI.

Losing pitcher Wyatt Mineheine (0-1, 7.00 ERA) took the loss in relief of starter Blake Imhoff. Mineheine allowed five earned runs on two hits and four walks.

Proctor, 5-3, is back in action at home on Saturday, May 6, when the Rails host International Falls at noon.
