PENGILLY, Minn. -- Proctor won its Opening Day game, 15-2, over Greenway at Pengilly Ball Park in a non-conference baseball game on Tues., April 22. The game was called after six innings due to the 10-run rule. The Rails, leading 4-2 through four complete innings, scored six runs in the fifth and another five runs in the sixth to earn the lop-sided victory.

Winning pitcher Michael Gales (1-0, 1.40 ERA) allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts in five innings.

Jake Malec, Cody Lewis, and Evan Scherber had two hits apiece for Proctor (1-0). Scherber had four RBIs and Malec and Nathan Carlson had two RBIs. Malec and Lewis both scored three times.

Losing pitcher Jaden Erkkila allowed one earned run on seven hits and five walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

Kole Kalisch was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and Mike LaDoux was 2-for-2 for Greenway (0-3).
