...Ron Main chucked no-hit ball for Proctor as the Rails defeated Central, 7-1. The Trojans scored the run with two out in the last inning when Schadewald, the Central catcher, reached first on an error, advanced to third and was plated on another miscue.

The Rails' hurler whiffed 14 Trojans in the seven-inning game...

Rails Take Fourth Straight Win; Enter Tourney Tuesday

For the second time this season, Proctor high school's baseball nine defeated Duluth Central, 7-1, on the local diamond on July 19.

Ron Main pitched a superb no-hit, one-run game and was in complete control all the way. In going the route he struck out 14 and walked but four men.

The Rails got to Lieberman for a run in the second, adding three more in the third to put the game on ice. Main helped win his own ball game by slamming out a triple and a single in four official times at bat...
