Cloquet Too Hot For Proctor, 8-2

CLOQUET -- Deuces were wild yesterday as Cloquet high school's baseball team parlayed two errors, two walks, and two hits into a six-run third inning en route to an 8-2 victory over Proctor.

Allan Lahti tossed a two-hitter for the Lumberjacks while striking out 10 and walking four. Proctor pitcher Bill Bort fanned nine and walked eight while yielding six hits.

Dale Everson rapped out two hits for Cloquet. Dave Holmes and Pat Forrest each drove home two runs.

Cloquet's record for the season now is -- of course -- 2-2.
