Rails Meet Denfeld in Tourney Monday

Proctor meets Denfeld in the first district tournament game at Wade stadium Monday, May 28 at 8:30 p.m.

Monday night, the Rails went on a rampage against Duluth East and annihilated five pitchers in a 21-3 hitting spree. Despite the lopsided victory, Coach Hank Chapman was displeased with the field work of his charges who committed six errors, one less than the opposition.

Bill Breemeersch, who is budding into an all-around athlete, led the batting barrage with two bingles and a three-run homer. Dick Pesonen with a pair of doubles and Bill Bort with two singles abetted Breemeersch.

Pesonen allowed only three hits.
