Morgan Park won its first baseball game in the Big Nine League by downing Proctor, 6-3...

Pitcher John Gornick, coming on in relief of George Schmeling in the second inning, led Morgan Park with two hits in four trips and two RBIs.

Gornick struck out 14 Proctor batters in the 5 2/3 innings he worked, giving up two of the three Proctor hits. The Wildcats scored three runs in each of the first two innings. Both Proctor scores came in the second.

Jim Udovich had a triple and two singles with a pair of RBIs for Morgan Park. Gary Egerdahl led the Rails with two hits...
