High School Baseball Nine Drops Two More Games

...The Denfeld Hunters won their second game of the year at the expense of the Rails who went down under the fine pitching and timely hitting of Jim Nelson in a game played Tuesday, June 21, at Wheeler Field in Duluth.

The Hunters took a 3-0 lead in the second inning and were never in serious trouble from then on, even though it looked as if the Rails might make it a close game of it at first. The Hunters added several more runs in the late innings and the Rails went down to defeat, 8-4.

Dale Erickson was the big gun for Proctor getting three hits, all singles. Don Donald Fontaine was charged with the defeat.
