...Silver Bay ousted Proctor 7-0 with Phil Benson and Greg Mjelde sharing the shutout...

...Benson and Mjelde combined for seven strikeouts as Silver Bay scored three runs in the first inning and a pair in the third and fifth to sew up the victory over Proctor.

Benson picked up the triumph, hurling the first four innings. Rick Johnson went the full distance for Proctor and was tagged for 12 hits.

Mjelde went 3 for 4 including a double and scored two runs to lead the Mariners' attack. Gary McDonald also had 3 for 4 while Dennis Moore delivered a single and a home run.
