Rails thumped by Silver Bay
The Silver Bay baseball team hammered out 17 hits while Mariner pitcher Ray Thomas held Proctor to only three in an 8-1 Lake Superior Conference victory by the Mariners Tuesday at Proctor.
Thomas struck out nine and walked four while keeping the Rails winless through three conference games and six over-all. Silver Bay is 2-0 in the LSC.
Mike Carman and Kasey Frank tied for hitting honors with three hits apiece for the winners.
