SILVER BAY -- Kasey Frank's three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning broke open a tight game and gave Silver Bay a 6-2 victory over Proctor in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game Tuesday.
Ray Thomas allowed a first inning single and then blanked the Rails the rest of the way, although Proctor did scratch out two unearned runs in the sixth inning to pull within 3-2. Thomas had 12 strikeouts.
Mike Thomas backed Ray's pitching performance with a double and an RBI. Silver Bay now has a 6-2 record.
