Cloquet maintained its leadership in the Lake Superior Conference baseball race by stopping Proctor 6-3 Wednesday. The Lumberjacks are now 5-0 in the league, 6-2 overall. Central, 4-1, challenges Cloquet at 5 p.m. today at Wade Stadium.
Mike Krzenski struck out 12 Proctor batters and allowed the Rails just five hits to get Wednesday's win. He held Proctor without a hit through the first five innings as Cloquet was building a 6-0 lead. The Rails scored all three runs in the sixth. Ken Ilse was 2-for-3 for Cloquet and had one RBI.
