Proctor erupted for four runs in the eighth inning -- with the help of only one hit and erring defense by Morgan Park -- and the Rails defeated the Wildcats 5-1 in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game Tuesday at Wade Stadium.

John Kuzas scored the tie-breaking run on a misplayed ball that Mark Anderson hit. Jay Nelson later drove in another run with a triple.

The Rails, who were outhit 4-3, tied the game in the fifth when Mike Grover led off with a triple and scored on a fielder's choice.

Dennis Gulbranson went the distance for Proctor; Ken Dzuck relieved Bill Durfee in the eighth for Morgan Park.
