Richardson leads Proctor by Agates

Freshman Bill Richardson played his first varsity game and pitched a four-hitter to power host Proctor to a 4-1 victory over Two Harbors in Lake Superior Conference baseball Wednesday.
The 6-foot, 170-pound righthander struck out 11 and walked five.
Two Harbors took a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Don Norlander walked and was doubled home by Doug Norlander.
Proctor, 8-5, came back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth when Mike Grover doubled home Jay Nelson and Grover later scored on a force out. In the sixth, Nelson and Grover singled and both came home on errors.
Ron Barthell took the loss for the Agates, striking out nine and yielding five hits.

... Playing Proctor last Wednesday, Two Harbors lost 4 to 1. Doug Norlander hit a double, allowing Don Norlander to score the only run. Ron Barthell pitched a four-hitter.
