Rapids rips Proctor

GRAND RAPIDS -- Vern Thompson slammed a two-run homer in the fourth inning to spark Grand Rapids to a 10-1 win over Proctor in high school baseball here Friday. Tim Graupmann also contributed two hits, including one double, for the winners. Scott Martin pitched a three-hitter as [Rapids] evened their record at 2-2. Matt Downs had a pair of hits for Proctor.

Grand Rapids baseball players defeated Cambridge by 5-2 Saturday afternoon and beat Proctor 10-1 Friday afternoon at Legion field. ...
