CLOQUET -- Tim Norton singled in Dave Lockwood with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday as Proctor edged Central 6-5.

Nik Peterson put Proctor in the lead for good with a two-run single in the first inning. Bill Richardson struck out nine and allowed five hits for the win.

Dave McCuskey had three of Central's five hits in the Lake Superior Conference game.
