Proctor wins 5th straight, blanks 'Jacks

CLOQUET -- Proctor hiked its record to 5-0 [in the LSC] with a 2-0 victory over Cloquet Thursday in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game.

Scoring on a steal in the first and an error in the second, Proctor shut out the Lumberjacks. Pitcher Nik Peterson gave up seven hits, struck out six and walked one, in addition to hitting two batters.

Cloquet pitcher Eric Bottila also allowed seven hits, struck out three and walked two.

Mark Illikainen had a pair of singles for the Lumberjacks.
