Proctor scored five runs in the third inning, highlighted by two-run singles by Todd Johnson and Ray Sandstrom, and went on to win the Lake Superior Conference game.

Brett Baker scored on Darrin Nelson's double in the fourth and Bill Dolentz doubled and scored on a passed ball in the seventh for the Hawks.

Steve Makitalo scattered five hits and struck out seven for the win.
