Proctor rode the five-hit pitching of Rick LaLonde and Todd Vanneste's grand slam home run to a Lake Superior Conference victory over host Silver Bay.

LaLonde struck out eight in helping Proctor raise its record to 6-6.

Chris Kindgren, Jeff Erikson, Mark Kieren, Randy Fietek and Craig Peterson had two hits each in the Rails' 12-hit attack, with Fietek and Peterson collecting doubles.

Jon Spry had a single and double for Silver Bay, also 6-6.
