South sub-Region 7AA tournament -- Darren Larson pitched a three-hitter and gave up one run in six innings as host Princeton beat Cloquet 8-1 in the south sub-Region 7AA championship game. Both teams advance to the region tournament Tuesday in Cloquet.

John Priess' home run was part of a seven-run Princeton explosion in the first two innings. Simon Thielen had three hits and two RBI, and Jason Miller had a three-run triple.

Princeton defeated Proctor in the semi-finals 2-0 as Miller threw a one-hitter. Rick Sornberger threw a two-hitter for the Rails.

Cloquet beat Cambridge 4-2 in the other semifinal as Brad Takkunen tossed a two-hitter. Brian Meisner had three hists and three RBI, and Bruce Baker had three hits and one RBI for the winners.
