Thoreson paces Central past Proctor

Dave Thoreson knocked in the winning run in the eighth inning to lift Duluth Central over Proctor 3-2 in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game at Wade Stadium Wednesday.

Thoreson pitched a four-hitter and struck out two.

Adam Soderlind went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and Casey Johnson went 2-for-3 for the Trojans.

Kerry Helquist had two hits for Proctor.
