Thursday afternoon the Rails hosted the Two Harbors Agates and picked up the 5-2 win.

...Ryan Vanderscheuren picked up the win. [Kyle Wojtysiak earned the save.]...

The Agates were retired in order in the top of the first inning. That set the stage for the bottom half of the inning. Seth Reinke smashed a two-base hit to center field. Jake Comnick stepped into a ball and drove out his second two-run home run in as many games to give the Rails the 2-0 lead.

The Rails' defense held Two Harbors at bay through six innings allowing just two hits, an error, a base on balls, and one fielder's choice. No one got past second base until the seventh inning.

The Rails put the game away in the bottom of the sixth inning with two more runs.
