Rails 6, Two Harbors 4

The Rails traveled to Two Harbors to take on the Agates, Thurs., April 28. The Rails put the first run on the board in the first inning and added two one more in the sixth. Two Harbors scored two runs each in the sixth and seventh. Then Proctor exploded for a four-run seventh inning to seal the victory, 6-4.

Winning pitcher [sic] Kyle Wojtysiak went 1-for-1 against the Agates' Jeff Adams. Paul Michelizzi pitched 5 1/3 innings with three hits. Drew Scherber went 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Coach Rohweder commented, "Michelizzi did a nice job on the mound for us today and showed that we have some depth in our pitching rotation. Our guys showed a lot of character in exploding for a four-run seventh inning to seal the victory." He added, "I was very impressed with our ability to get out of the big jam in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded [and] up by two, Wojtysiak was able to get the hitter to ground into a 1-2-3 double play to end the game."
