Proctor Baseball hosts Marshall in play-off opener

It was a rough week for the Proctor baseball team. Besides dodging potential rainstorms at every turn, the Rails came up with a goose egg in all three of their games, including two contests at Egerdahl Field -- usualy a safe haven.

The week began with a Mon., May 22, loss to visiting Duluth Marshall. Hilltoppers' pitcher Ryan Erola allowed only two hits -- both by Blake Reinke -- while teammates Devin Zenner and Jake McDonnell combined for five hits and four runs to overpower Proctor 7-1.
