MARBLE, Minn. -- Greenway defeated Proctor in a non-conference baseball game at Frank Hecemovich Memorial Field in Marble. Jimmy Merling (Fr., OF) led off the game with a walk, stole second, and scored on a double by Jake Lewis (Soph., DH), and freshman Ben Nelson pitched a scoreless first inning in his first varsity start.
 
Greenway tied the game 1-1 in the second on a pair of singles and an RBI ground out.
 
Proctor gained a 3-1 advantage in the third inning when Tyler Pionk (Jr., SS) hit a two-run double, scoring Justin Scanlon (Jr., 2B) and Ryan McCarthy (Soph., 1B).
 
Greenway scored four runs in the third inning on two singles, a walk, a hit batsman, an error, a passed ball, and three stolen bases. The Raiders padded their lead to 7-3 with two runs in the fifth inning on three singles, an error, a wild pitch, a passed ball, and a stolen base.
 
Proctor mounted a rally in the top of the seventh inning on a lead-off triple by Reed Olson (Sr., OF), two hit batsmen, a bases-loaded walk to Lewis for an RBI, and an error to score two runs, but the game ended with the bases loaded on a full-count called strike three to McCarthy.
 
Nelson (0-1, 4.00 ERA, 7.0 IP) pitched all six innings for Proctor. He allowed four earned runs on eight hits, two walks, and a hit batsman. He had two strikeouts. 
 
Proctor is now 6-3.
