PROCTOR -- Ben Nelson and Ian Scherber combined on a two-hitter as Proctor won the Lake Superior Conference baseball game. Nelson, a freshman, pitched four innings and allowed one hit and zero walks en route to earning his first varsity win. He had three strikeouts. Scherber pitched the final three innings for his first save of the season. He allowed one hit and one walk and had one strikeout.
 
Tyler Pionk was four-for-four with three runs, two doubles, and an RBI. Justin Scanlon was three-for-three with a run, a double, and two RBIs. Pat Everson was two-for-four with two doubles and an RBI.
