HERMANTOWN -- Proctor led 2-1 after five complete innings and scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 7-1 lead, but Hermantown answered with three runs in their half of the sixth to bring the score to 7-4 before Proctor exploded for 10 runs on eight hits in the seventh inning to overtake the Hawks in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game at Don Fitchner Memorial Field. It was the Rails' first win over Hermantown since 2000.
 
Jake Lewis (4-1, 2.48 ERA, 31.0 IP) pitched six innings for the win. He allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks. He had five strikeouts. Ian Scherber pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief.
 
Tyler Pionk had two hits, three runs, and five RBIs. Justin Scanlon was three-for-three with two doubles and three RBIs. Jesse Scanlon was three-for-three with three runs. Jimmy Merling had three hits including a triple, a run, and three RBIs. Scherber added two hits, two runs, and two RBIs.
