Hermantown claims LSC crown
Hermantown won the Lake Superior Conference high school baseball championship for the first time in 10 years with a 10-4 win over Proctor Tuesday.
Winning pitcher Chris Freeman threw 4 1/3 innings of no-hit relief as the Hawks overcame a 4-0 deficit.
Nate Glockle had two hits, including a three-run double, and Chad Pylka had four hits for Hermantown, 15-4 and 8-1 in the league.
Brian DeDominces, Brent Bordson and Scott McLeod all had two hits for host Proctor.
