Duluth East rallies past Proctor
Winning pitcher Jeff LaFavor and Matt Pechek combined on a three-hitter as Duluth East defeated Proctor 7-5 in a Lake Superior Conference high school baseball game Tuesday at Ordean Stadium.
Duluth East, 7-0 and ranked No. 1 among Class AA teams in the area, broke the game open with three runs in the sixth inning. Don Schmidt singled in the game-winner and Eric Pitoscia added a two-run single in the inning.
Proctor, 2-3, scored three runs in the seventh inning. [Nathan Sandman] had a two-run single.

East slips past Rails
A three-run sixth inning helped left undefeated Duluth East past the Rails. Proctor answered in the next inning with a three-run scoring effort but it fell short as the Rails were defeated 7-5 by the number 1 ranked Class AA team in the area.
Nathan Sandman had a two-run single during the Ordean Stadium game.
