Sophomore righthander Justin Craker, starting his first varsity game, allowed just four hits, and six of the seven runs were unearned in the game. Craker struck out seven and walked four in the contest.

Proctor scored first as Jeremy Zywicki reached on an error, moved to third on a thowing error and later scored on a fielder's choice ground out off the bat of Travis Tanski.

Superior got two back in the bottom of the first as Tom Pink stroked an RBI single to left center scoring Tom Nelson, who singled and stole second to open the inning. Paul Hadley ran for Pink, and scored on a fielding error on Wayne Hakkila's ground ball.

Both teams scored on unearned run on fielding errors in the third, which gave Superior a 3-2 lead.

The Rails made the score 5-3 in their half of the sixth as they scored three runs on three errors and one hit.

Proctor added two more runs in the seventh as Andy Slattengren reached on an error and scored as Tanski's fly ball to center hit the top of the fence and bounced over.

Ben Carlson fashioned a five-hitter against Superior. He struck out five and walked three.

We had a decent week, winning three out of four games, but would have had a great week had we beaten a team like Proctor." ...
